Between March 13-19, 2019 in Malaysia’s capital Kuala Lumpur, Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur hosted the Turkish Cuisine Week. Within the scope of the event, visitors had the opportunity to taste Turkish cuisine prepared by the chefs from Turkey. Chefs Adnan Ozturk, Soner Alpkaya, Ramazan Tatik and Sehmus Yel from Mandarin Oriental Bodrum also took part in the event. Guests tasted the special tastes of Turkish cuisine after “ebru” art show and watching mystic Sufi whirling dervishes.
Stating that they are trying to introduce a large number of dishes from Turkish cuisine, Chef Adnan Ozturk said they want to take Turkish Cuisine Week to other countries besides Malaysia too.
“We have been introducing our tastes in Malaysia for four years and Malay people have been very positive when they taste our cuisine. Especially kebab, doner and pitta are very popular,” Ozturk said.
